A nun in a habit drags a boy in a net through a South American jungle floor.
There is a dense, black lake,
On which there are abandoned houses on long stilts.
The boy begins to live in these houses,
Which have clean white tiles.
One day, years later,
A group of boys wander onto this lake and into these houses
And are surprised by a slow, methodical, blue laser beam,
Which does not harm them,
But which bends and refracts off the still clean tiles,
Casting a blue light upon all things in the one room house.
They find that this beam is the boy and
take him to New York City and
There, after a day,
The tar and pavement split;
It is Joseph.
He has arrived, Maria,
And the earth is pregnant with his light.
